Mrs Ley died in 1992 after a long illness.

Beautifully styled wool dress by Margaretha Ley. Round wide neck line with short sleeves piped in satin. Sleeves at shoulder join have three darts and small soft shoulder pads. One steps into the dress the dress closes with six gold buttons set on a satin band through the centre of the dress. Hook and eye at neck. Two breast pockets, and two at thigh level with gold buttons on satin piping. The dress bodice is long line finishing at thigh level with a full pleated skirt. The dress is quite weighty and the colour is amost black to the eye however in bright light is a deep navy as is the satin piping. Fully lined inside in blue/black lining
