Lacroix studied Art History falling into fashion by chance. He was an assistant at
Hermes and then joined the House of Patou in 1981. Five years later he launched his
own label producing Haute Couture garments that were luxurious and extravagant in
bright, bold colours. Notable clients include Uma Thurman and Gwyneth Paltrow.
